Many people provide President Trump’s remarks after the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia as evidence he is/was a racist person. They most commonly put out the quote, “there were fine people on both sides” to prove their point. Unfortunately, the media hyped only part of what he said.

The following quote comes from the first paragraph of an article in The Atlantic (2017-08-15) entitled “Trump Defends White-Nationalist Protesters: ‘Some Very Fine People on Both Sides“

President Trump defended the white nationalists who protested in Charlottesville on Tuesday, saying they included “some very fine people,” while expressing sympathy for their demonstration against the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

This commentary followed the President Trump’s third set of remarks.

As part of the carefully crafted media reaction, the presumption was that anyone demonstrating the removal of Robert E Lee’s statue was a Nazi. It did not matter if you were or not, the fact you had an opinion contrary to the politically correct view convicted you. From there, we are led to the understanding that everyone for the removal of the statue was one of the good guys, despite whatever attire you chose to hide your identity or the weapons to beat down the bad guys.

To spell it out, the “Punch a Nazi“ campaign was in full swing and anyone identified as a Nazi was fair game. The media aided the demonization of all the demonstrators so violence against anyone protesting the removal of the statue was not only permissible, it was applauded.
There was no excuse for the violence on either side.

President Trump delivered remarks on his signing of a bill on Saturday, August 12, 2017 and began his statement about the Charlottesville violence as follows:

“But we’re closely following the terrible events unfolding in Charlottesville, Va.. We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides. It’s been going on for a long time in our country. Not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. This has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America. What is vital now is a swift restoration of law and order and the protection of innocent lives. No citizen should ever fear for their safety and security in our society. And no child should ever be afraid to go outside and play or be with their parents and have a good time.”

And wrapped up with:

“Above all else, we must remember this truth, no matter our color, creed, religion or political party, we are all Americans first. We love our country. We love our God. We love our flag. We’re proud of our country. We’re proud of who we are. So, we want to get the situation straightened out in Charlottesville, and we want to study it. And we want to see what we’re doing wrong as a country where things like this can happen. My administration is restoring the sacred bonds of loyalty between this nation and its citizens, but our citizens must also restore the bonds of trust and loyalty between one another. We must love each other, respect each other and cherish our history and our future together. So important. We have to respect each other. Ideally we have to love each other.

Some independent observers might think the statement was an attempt at uniting our country and condemning the violence. The problem was President Trump did not specifically condemn all the people protesting the removal of the statue by name. By failing to name and condemn the radical racist element, he was bucking the Punch A Nazi campaign and delegitimizing the media’s attempt to excuse the violence against all the people protesting to keep the statue.

On Monday the 14th, President again spoke to the press and released a statement in which he said:

As I said on Saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence. It has no place in America.

…

Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.

He also mentioned how our nation mourns for the losses of Heather Hayer, and the Virginia State troopers, Jay Cullen and Burke Bates.

On the 15th, the fireworks started after President Trump again addressed the violence in Charlottesville taking questions at Trump Tower in New York City.

If you notice, the LA Times transcript omits part of the first question concerning the Charlottesville violence:

The LA Times transcript starts with:

“QUESTION: … wait so long (inaudible)?”

Politifact provides the following in their transcript:

Reporter: “Let me ask you, Mr. President, why did you wait so long to blast neo-Nazis?”

Trump: “I didn’t wait long. I didn’t wait long.”

Reporter: “Forty-eight hours.”

Trump: “I wanted to make sure, unlike most politicians, that what I said was correct — not make a quick statement. The statement I made on Saturday, the first statement, was a fine statement. But you don’t make statements that direct unless you know the facts. It takes a little while to get the facts. You still don’t know the facts. And it’s a very, very important process to me, and it’s a very important statement.

“So I don’t want to go quickly and just make a statement for the sake of making a political statement. I want to know the facts.

Later, the following question arises and provides the trap the media was hoping for:

Reporter: “The neo-Nazis started this. They showed up in Charlottesville to protest —”

Trump: “Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves — and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name.”

And here is the part the media did not report and shamefully ignored:

Trump: So you know what, it’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people — and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists — because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people. But you also had troublemakers, and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets, and with the baseball bats. You had a lot of bad people in the other group.

So there it is. President Trump did not defend white nationalists or their beliefs, he condemned them.

In earlier posts, we examined one organization’s plan to engage in a conspiracy to remove a duly elected President from office.
A multi-faceted plan to cripple President Trump’s administration featuring:
“resist the normalization of Donald Trump”
“Trump will be defeated either through impeachment or the ballot box in 2020.”
“Trump will be afflicted by a steady flow of damaging information, new revelations, and an inability to avoid conflict situations.”

We also learned members of the opposition party would help provide damaging information:

According to the Majority Staff Report of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs from July 6, 2017, there were 62 leaks damaging to national security in President Trump’s first 126 days. The first starting the morning of his inauguration. As stated in the report, the measure used to qualify the leak as damaging to national security used the 2009 Executive Order (EO13526) by President Obama.

The analysis of the 125 leaks in 126 days in the report also includes those that didn’t jeopardize national security. Of the other 63 leaks, some were too close to call as a release of classified information and the others only attempted to embarrass the President and/or his administration.

When Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) promises a steady flow of damaging information and the US Senate issues a report after four months of steady leaks of information damaging national security, you might say it is a coincidence.

The report mentioned the leaking under President Trump was seven times higher than under Presidents Obama and Bush.
The analysis of the media coverage also indicates that none of the stories targeted the earlier Presidents; whereas every one of the stories covering leaks in the first 126 days of President’s Trump administration were negative.

It has almost been three years since the Senate report was written and yet not a single person has been held accountable for violating the law in leaking information harmful to our national security.
In fact, there has been one long string of damaging information, just as CREW promised. When the furor of one invented scandal subsides, a new one surfaces to maintain the anti-Trump headlines.

The next two organizations rounding out the cabal and seeking funding for the campaign to remove the duly elected President of the United States are CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington) and Shareblue.

CREW is in charge of the legal aspects of the campaign, even boasting of enlisting an army of pro bono lawyers against President Trump and his administration. They also promise “Trump will be afflicted by a steady flow of damaging information, new revelations, and an inability to avoid conflict issues.”

Shareblue promises to take back social media for Democrats, delegitimize Donald Trump’s presidency by emboldening the opposition and empowering the majority of Americans who oppose him. Shareblue has since changed their name to “The American Independent.”

The senior leadership for each of these organizations is provided after each section detailing their plans and capabilities. One might assume they are independent organizations, however, the address for all of these organizations on their 2017 corporate tax filings were the same. The Washington Freebeacon reported North Carolina state records indicate CREW and Media Matters for America share employees and related expenses. See this article.

Media Matters for America and CREW are 501©(3) – tax-free, non-political, non-profit organizations and American Bridge is a Super Political Action Committee. On the other hand, Shareblue or as renamed, The American Independent, is a for-profit organization. With annual budgets in the tens of millions of dollars range, I would hope some scrutiny is focused on how the money is co-mingled. The same scrutiny applied to all organizations with the potential of defrauding the government of the payment of taxes.

I’m not making any accusations of illegal or criminal conduct. It is obvious David Brock and his associates are hyper-partisan hacks bent on a progressive future (which some may characterize as socialist.) They appear to be well organized and well-funded, but only one point should be cause for concern.

Shareblue, now The American Independent and a US media corporation, anticipated “leaks and intel from Democrats on House and Senate committees.”

To summarize:
American Bridge gathered opposition research to feed to Media Matters for America and Shareblue/The American Independent to further share anti-Trump propaganda with other media outlets.

As an ‘independent’ media company, Shareblue/The American Independent was prepared to use the opposition research from American Bridge, information from other progressive groups and leaked information from Democratic congressmen/congresswomen on social media platforms and their web portals “in a daily online persuasion campaign.”

As a ‘non-partisan’ watchdog, CREW, using data from American Bridge, Shareblue/The American Independent and their own research will drive “a steady flow of damaging information, new revelations, and an inability to avoid conflicts.” Also included will be the legal attacks against President Trump’s policies and harassing lawsuits.

Media Matters for America uses information from American Bridge, CREW, and their own efforts to silence conservative voices quickly, before their words can resonate with people.

Continuing with the meeting described in post 0001 as part of the media conspiracy to take down a sitting President of the United States. So far we covered Media Matters plan to silence conservative voices in Post 0002. Now it’s time to look at what American Bridge brought to the table in the meeting.

Touting themselves as “The political research engine of the opposition,” American Bridge announced they already had staff hired, Donald Trump’s businesses mapped out and a massive video archive to use.

They also mention:
“Our purpose is to keep Trump unpopular and make it more difficult for candidates who support him to get elected in 2018.”
and
“The mid-term map appears difficult for Democrats; damaging Trump in the next two years could change that.”

In the next four years, American bridge is focused on the following outcomes:
Defeat Trump either through impeachment or at the ballot box in 2020.
Change the balance of power by measurably impacting US Senate, gubernatorial, and state legislative races.
Free ourselves from solely relying on the press. Our robust digital program will reach voters directly online.

Further on:
American Bridge will sustain a nonstop campaign against Trump, his administration, and Republicans who enable him.

They later explain their 2017 budget is $14.7 million to cover it’s operations and a Super PAC with a staff of 146 people. They also plan to create an anti-Trump war room of 25 researchers and a communication team of 16 people to feed their information to the press, do rapid response to unfavorable stories and have six folks as dedicated media monitors.

Media Matters signs up to aggressively attack and silence conservative voices.
American Bridge signs up to provide opposition research and use it to:
1. Feed negative stories to the press
2. Monitor media for unfavorable news and information
3. Provide rapid response (damage control) to counter the unfavorable news and information.

Did their non-stop plan to seed news programs with negative stories succeed?
If you didn’t notice over 90% of Donald Trump’s news coverage was negative since he announced he was running for President, you may have been asleep.

So, we have this meeting described in the previous posting. Let’s dive a little deeper:

Media Matters was at the meeting if not running the show.
The organization was formed in 2004 and is targeted at silencing what they term as ‘conservative misinformation’ (or any conservative opinion.) As noted in wikipedia, the organization is engaged in a war on Fox News.

In the Media Matters portion of the document, it mentions they “secured access to raw data from Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites.” Their plan is “to develop technologies and processes to systematically monitor and analyze this unfiltered data.” “The earlier we identify a fake news story, the more effectively we can quash it.”

Here are some more:
“Serial misinformers and right-wing propagandists inhabiting everything from social media to the highest levels of government will be exposed.”

“Internet and social media platforms, like Google and Facebook, will no longer uncritically and without consequence host and enrich fake news sites and propagandists.”

“Toxic alt-right social media-fueled harassment campaigns that silence dissent and poison our national discourse will be punished and halted.”

Although our Bill of Rights promises the freedom of speech, Media Matters considers itself the judge of what speech should be allowed. Nestled in the pages of the handout from the meeting are examples of how they took away Donald Trump’s phone interview privileges on numerous cable news channels because he was getting too much publicity, or removing Roger Stone from appearing on cable news, or pulling Glenn Beck off of cable news or ‘holding 60 Minutes accountable for its faulty Benghazi reporting.’

Has any portion of their plan come to fruition or is it not a conspiracy?
First, this information came from a “Private & Confidential” document, so by definition 2 of the word ‘conspiracy’, Media Matters engaged in a surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons for a secret purpose.

2. an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.

Has there been any evidence conservative voices have been silenced?
Yes, and ignoring the banning of conservatives on social media platforms for “violating community standards” is an unhelpful excuse. Facebook labeled the Declaration of Independence as ‘hate speech’, Twitter and Facebook have banned people for life due to their thoughts and ideas.

So, it can be shown Media Matters engaged in a not-so-successful conspiracy to silence conservative voices.
