Fearmongering or scaremongering is a form of manipulation which causes fear by using exaggerated rumors of impending danger.

The following image (minus the black text) was posted to social media.

I posted a comment decrying the obvious attempt to rile people up and spread fear and hatred. The reply comment indicated the poster actually was scared of fellow American citizens and mentioned I should choose sides because “because when we hit the beach that’s it and nothing or no one will stop us.”

This is fearmongering because the poster advocates for a “No F—-ing Muslims March” to put an end to the “Destruction of America,” as though the “No Kings March” was organized and paid for by Muslims. To be clear, the protest funding has been shown to come from a Shanghai resident and good friend of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP.) Maybe some radical Muslims joined the “No Kings March,” but it is well-known that Neville Roy Singham and the CCP were the driving forces.

The reasons I believe this is fearmongering are the following:

1. The “No Kings Marches” were organized and funded by CCP allies – protesters were paid to attend and provided signs and banners to transmit their anti-American messages. Somehow, the blame is redirected to Muslims in America instead of the real culprits, the CCP.
2. I do not believe all the doctors, dentists, lawyers and other professionals with a Muslim background are a danger.
3. I do not believe all the US veterans with a Muslim background who served with honor and dignity are a danger.
4. I do not believe the majority of Americans believe this nonsense, but some keep pushing it.
5. Although unmentioned in the screen grab, the imposition of Sharia law is widely mentioned as being something to be implemented. Since we already have laws, nobody has to willingly submit to Sharia law (or the Spanish Inquisition, either.)
6. This latest attempt to divide the American people follows the same formula used for decades – rich against poor, white against black, my political party is better than yours, etc. Everyone knows who is funding these efforts.

I believe all persons should obey the laws passed by the legislatures where they live and if they do not, then they should suffer the penalty delineated in the legislation. Equal treatment under the law for everyone.

I have friends of all different religions, including Islam. I have Muslim friends I trust with my life and they know I’ll have their back. I don’t have to choose sides, I’m already on the right side.

Recently I saw individuals that I thought were staunch defenders of Human Rights glorifying the murder of Brian Thompson in cold blood on the streets of New York. I know some of them have worked tirelessly to defend the rights of people they have never met and live in places they will never visit, yet somehow the fact numerous articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights forbid such conduct seems to mean nothing..

Article 2
Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

Article 3
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and the security of person.

Article 6
Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law.

Article 7
All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.

If you glorify a cold-blooded murderer as a “hero,” you do not deserve to call yourself a human rights defender. It is the ultimate hypocrisy to say Brian Thompson somehow lost his human rights because some folks call him a “parasite.” You are mixed-up and confused to believe cold-blooded murder is acceptable in this circumstance, but when done by an authoritarian regime the same action becomes a crime.

Don’t call yourself a Human Rights defender if Luigi Mangione is your “hero.” Just go away and hide under a rock.

Early in 2017, the following video started the debate, “Is it ok to punch a Nazi?”

Suddenly, right-leaning political opponents were labeled as “Nazis” and violence ensued. The Nazi-punchers continued their “public service” to intimidate any conservative voice into silence and eventually branched off into “mostly peaceful” protest demonstrations.

Wikipedia says of Nazism:

Nazism is a form of fascism, with disdain for liberal democracy and the parliamentary system.

and of fascism:

Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.

According to the established narrative, the Nazi-punchers were on a mission to root out racism and fascism which apparently after the election of President Donald Trump began to become an everyday occurrence (according to the narrative.) Unfortunately the narrative was a political fabrication meant to hamstring the Trump administration. None of the elements defining fascism above can actually be attributed to the Trump administration. On the other hand, during the summer of “mostly peaceful” demonstrations, it was the Nazi punchers looting and burning cities, beating people up and attacking (liberal democratic) government buildings.

At the end of 2023, the narrative was set on its head.
After Hamas sent its operators into Israel to commit murder, take hostages, and despicable acts of sexual abuse, those who previously assumed the role of Nazi punchers now found themselves out in mass demonstrations. The goal was to stop the Israelis from pursuing those who planned and executed the vile attack and not allow justice to be served. The chants included slogans to eliminate the state of Israel and some even suggested to ‘exterminate the Jews.’

History must not be their strong suit.

In November 1941, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin al-Husseini met with Adolf Hitler (translated official German report.) One of the topics of discussion concerned Palestine.

The Mufti then mentioned the letter he had received from Germany, which stated that Germany was holding no Arab territories and understood and recognized the aspirations to independence and freedom of the Arabs, just as she supported the elimination of the Jewish national home.

The Fuhrer replied that Germany’s fundamental attitude on these questions, as the Mufti himself had already stated, was clear. Germany stood for uncompromising war against the Jews. That naturally included active opposition to the Jewish national home in Palestine, which was nothing other than a center, in the form of a state, for the exercise of destructive influence by Jewish interests.

So, the Nazi punchers are now following the tenets of Adolf Hitler.
The protesters call for for the elimination of the state of Israel, “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” just like the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Adolf Hitler did eighty-two years earlier. The narrative establishing the Nazi-punchers as defenders against racism and fascism appears to have been a lie.
Another carefully crafted media narrative shown to be false.
Maybe I should start a list of retractions/apologies I am waiting to hear…

I ran across this meme on social media:

Although slavery was a world-wide phenomena and did not originate with just one race, it was ended in the United States of America and elsewhere by the majority of people who were not slaves. The creator of the meme expects to gloss over any changes that have occurred in the United States since it was founded as though nothing has changed. Specifically, the meme’s author/propagandist mentions that the “discriminatory practices of the past still have ramifications today.”

Slavery, a discriminatory practice, was outlawed in December 1865 by the Thirteenth Amendment to the US Constitution. Certainly after this change that discriminatory practice was eliminated and no longer has ramifications on people after that date.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964, a Federal statute, outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. The US Attorney General has the obligation to address complaints alleging discrimination, so even if someone attempted to discriminate against someone else based on their race, color, religion, sex or national origin their behavior is against the laws of the United States of America and they are liable for prosecution.

The changes to the discriminatory practices of the past have been instantiated.
Any discriminatory barriers erected in the past have been legally removed and yet some propagandist glosses over them as though we are still stuck in the 1860s.
Every US citizen is an equal partner in our great nation. Some folks attempt to facilitate the mental chains and further the supposed victimization of others to divide our population. They are the ones who failed to remove the barriers, they are only building more.

I find it amazing the way people stretch the truth and apply labels to other people in the hope those other people’s views (livelihood and lives) will be silenced or cancelled. One example is calling people racist which is well overused. Labeling all people with white skin as racist is actually being racist. This post is about another one of the buzzwords used to attack people, “transphobe.”
One definition of transphobe thrown around is:
A person who fears, hates or is prejudiced against transgender or transsexual people and/or transness.

“A phobia is an anxiety disorder defined by a persistent and excessive fear of an object or situation.”

Somehow, I don’t see how ‘transphobia’ is a real phobia, other than having ‘phobia’ as part of the name. The term ‘phobia’ could be assigned to other beliefs as well, for instance, you could apply the term to people of faith who decide not to eat pork. We could label them as porkphobic. People who decide not to have a pet in their home could be called petphobic and the list could be continually expanded as a label to maintain division. The problem with making up these phobias is that they are meaningless. Someone who has decided not to eat pork because of faith does not suffer from an anxiety disorder, nor do they have persistent or excess fear of pork. People who decide against pets for whatever reason could have a phobia about pets, but the vast majority do not have anxiety over pets with persistent or excessive fear of them. Maybe they don’t want or can afford the responsibility of pet ownership.

So, on the basis of adding “trans” and “phobia” together, a new label has been effected to cause division. A new cudgel in the war on Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Drop that label on someone and there goes their DEI score. The label dropper gets his/her/they/us/whatever virtue signaling star on their Justice badge and sits back to enjoy the accolades.

One must ask, is this new stick-to-poke-people-in-the-eye a result of the inherent hypocrisy of calling all white people devils and maintaining the attitude it isn’t racist? Is this new shillelagh supposed to work better in keeping people apart?

I know I can’t speak for everyone, but I myself don’t wish (or care) what other people do or how they express themselves. I recognize every other person as a fellow human being with all the rights (and responsibilities) I share with them. If I happen to dead-name or misgender someone, it isn’t on purpose the first time. If the individual jumps to conclusions and begins a verbal attack, I really have no need to argue or continue any further interaction.

I acknowledge the fact there are two genders and all the other labels are for private use. I don’t need to know your preferred pronouns, how you dress, who or how many you have sex with unless you are expecting a close intimate relationship with me. I am not unreasonably or excessively fearful of trans people. I don’t feel threatened, therefore there is no phobia. I’ll gladly shake anyone’s hand in greeting, regardless of how they dress. (Behavior is on a case-by-case basis.[see above])

So, put away the virtue signaling club for a minute. Most people do not care, but there are limits. The most extreme examples are highlighted on the news and regularly bring in the funds for the support groups and inflate the numbers. (Does the way the money was brought in by the BLM grifters bring anything to mind?) Does this issue attempting to divide our country really deserve our attention? Could we not focus on other issues and begin a fruitful discussion to address the problems the mainstream media continues to ignore? Our citizens are hurting due to the massive influx of cheap labor, the loss of jobs due to hits to the energy sector and inflation. The genocide of the Uyghur people has to take a back seat to argue about what is or isn’t in your pants?

We have real problems facing our country and we are arguing over what is a man or a woman.
Seriously?
