I came across this meme:

This is a logical fallacy, implying those who do not support systemic change do not want peace and justice.
Rioting, by definition, is a “violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd.” Therefore, if people want the rioting to end, they do at least want peace.
Obviously, there is also the implied threat the rioting will continue until “systemic change is supported.” You used to hear there was “systemic racism” and now that has morphed into “systemic change.” Let no one be fooled; the system they want to change is our democratic republic. That sounds a lot like they will continue rioting until everyone supports their revolution.
My first reaction is to chuckle to think someone actually believes they can bully the citizens of the US of A into giving up our freedom for empty promises. What ever happened to rational, peaceful discussion? Isn’t violence the last refuge of the incompetent?
To play the victim role and say the only way things change is through revolution is just plain ignorant. Did Martin Luther King Jr achieve nothing? Americans are still free to speak their mind, communicate ideas, and elect representatives to legislative bodies to effect the changes they desire.
The real aim of this meme is to promote the idea you do not have these rights and to convince you revolution is the only path to a hopeful future.
A few words about justice-
Since we all have legal avenues to communicate ideas and make changes to the laws; the riots, public destruction and looting are against the law. Justice demands the perpetrators of these crimes be held responsible. Justice also demands an investigation into whether or not the public disturbances were organized acts of sedition.
